Cloud Gate Bio reads: the Love of my Life + a pug

Cloud Gate aka The Bean:

"Cloud Gate is British artist Anish Kapoor's first public outdoor work installed in the United States. The 110-ton elliptical sculpture is forged of a seamless series of highly polished stainless steel plates, which reflect Chicago's famous skyline and the clouds above."

Hot take- he hated that people called it the BEAN but got used to it. Damn Americants.

Did you know that?! I have loved reading about all the things in every city we've stopped in. All the landmarks and the original peoples. It's been really help me ground myself everywhere.

Every day is like a new episode. I am going to write a pilot to a show one day soon and my creativity feels like it's coming back to me in a way I haven't felt since 2018. This is why I started ExpressiveAF cause my life just seemed so..unreal. But maybe I've just always loved lived laughed from a writers perspective. I am so incredibly grateful for the theater community in the Bay Area and just how lucky Ed and I are to have met such open, beautiful, welcoming, amazing, talented- all the things, people. Today we met up with Elena, who I met during my directing days at Berkeley Playhouse. It was so great to hear about the city and do a part of the rive walk and be with people outside. I'm so excited to see where they go next. Then Ed decided to check out this bougie consignment store and so we did and there we met up with Carina and James who we also know from Bay Area theater. I did Peter Pan with Carina and Ed knows James cause he did a show that James directed. Time is so crazy. How paths cross. How relationships form and you just run with it. We had drinks at the Ralph Lauren ... restaurant?! It was so weird but so cool and everyone had polos on and even their tumblers had polo players on them. They came with beer and cupcakes and I am sipping on one now and munching on a cupcake. Both are just divine btw. We came back and I had to rehearsal for Clue. And I can't imagine being a senior in high school right now.. so I'm glad I can be there for them during this very weird time.

This time last year after my show we got in the car and drove down to LA so Ed could shoot To Tell The Truth. That was also magical. It seems like I've gotten my pattern in order again. So here we goo.. Nov. 17 is a magical day for me. This day 3 years ago I was in Chicago. I loved it . 4 years ago I had a New York sweater on and purple hair. 5 years ago I had driven to LA for an audition and met Giovanni Ortega at East West Players. Life is strange.

I am so grateful to know so many amazing people. Surrounded by Angels. And just so incredibly blessed to be in a position to travel and pick up my life take a huge risk and be so incredibly supported and taken care of. So if you're reading this, you're on of those people. And I thank you so much for being on this journey with me.

Tomorrow we're headed to Fort Wayne, Indiana where we'll be staying with Julia and Tj who I know from PCPA! Also.. we're having deep dish or pizza cake or dinner cake and I cannot.. I am stuffed. Should've ordered a small.
